barranco is a design studio based in Medellin, run by architect and object designer Iojann, that focuses on ideas as material. In his work, the materialization of these ideas is mediated by a sensitive reading of the context in which objects and spaces emerge.

monothe collection arises from the technical singularity of metal in the city and its plastic possibilities, the metal sheet molded in the folding machine allows us to think of the material as a paper, the movements of the machine that processes it resemble the movements in origami, allowing us diverse and complex compositions in which the drawing is understood as an expanded form, the line that becomes a plane, and the folded plane that appears as a summed volume.
Associated with this idea of diverse geometries, the monochromatic condition of the pieces emphasizes the way in which they visually intersect, thus establishing an association based on color as volume.
